To serve the neighborhood efficient and quickly, Ameren called for a new LEED operations center to serve as its new local headquarters. The facility is divided into two main business and industrial spaces. The design contains a tornado shelter which serves as a break room during working hours, various sized meeting rooms, administration offices, locker rooms, and showers. The industrial side contains a large truck repair garage, wash bays, gas welding shop, electrical shop, gas and electrical storage.
The proposed exterior office side features recycled content in the ground face cmu, metal sun shading devices to reflect direct lighting, while the interior contains motion sensors, low water fixtures, high efficient HVAC systems, and various other sustainable components. The industrial element uses insulated metal panels that exceed the R value to comply with USGBC and local code prerequisites. *Work with prior firm.
